Heaviness in the stomach: is it worth paying attention?

The feeling of heaviness in the stomach at least once experienced each of us. In many cases, the appearance of the feeling of “stone” in the stomach leads to errors in nutrition. However, as an unbalanced diet can eventually lead to diseases of the digestive system, and already existing problems with the gastrointestinal tract (gastrointestinal tract) often become the cause of heaviness in the stomach.
The main “provocateurs” of development of gravity in the stomach
Pain in the epigastric region (upper abdomen) is one of the symptoms of gastrointestinal diseases. Often the feeling of “swallowed stone” comes after eating, at the same time a person feels weakness and general malaise. Pay attention to your diet, food quality, how you take it. Try to eat fractional portions of 5-6 times a day instead of 3 plentiful classic breakfast, lunch and dinner. Do not get enough before bedtime, food should be taken 2-3 hours before bedtime. And if you wanted to eat, then eat an apple, a slice of cheese or yogurt for 30 minutes before bedtime. Eat less fried, fatty, smoked, mayonnaise, ketchup.

Prefer freshly prepared dishes, vegetable salads, stewed or baked meat dishes, fruits, cereals, dairy products. Also an important factor is body weight, for maintaining which is normal, it is important to move more, walk, and find physical activity for one’s soul. An active lifestyle improves the digestive tract. If the severity and other unpleasant symptoms persist or are constantly worried, then it is important not to postpone a visit to a gastroenterologist, since such symptoms may be signs of gastritis, peptic ulcer, etc.
Prevention of diseases of the digestive system
All diseases of the gastrointestinal tract are caused by a combination of neuropsychiatric, bacterial, chemical and physical factors. The main measure of prevention of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract – is to adhere to a healthy lifestyle. Also an important factor that leads to the development of gastritis and peptic ulcer is an infection of Helicobacter pylori, a bacterium that lives in the stomach and is able to survive in an acid-base environment.

If problems with the gastrointestinal tract have already appeared, then after their elimination it is important to avoid repeated relapses. Gastritis or peptic ulcer, as well as any chronic diseases, have a peculiarity to worsen in spring and autumn.
